The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts (PRCPA), built in 2007, is a multipurpose venue situated on Les Ozouets Campus of The Guernsey Institute.
As Guernsey’s first multi-functional performance space and teaching facility, the PRCPA complements the other venues across the island and provides a base for the provision of TGI’s Performing Arts course.
The Main House is an adaptable, contemporary theatre, that can seat an audience of up to 300, is accessible at both ground and first-floor levels and is available to be hired out for performances, conferences, workshops and events. It features a full Nexo 5.1 surround sound system, a fully stocked lighting rig containing professional-grade fixtures, a semi-sprung floor, retractable seating and a projector and motorised screen.
The PRCPA also includes a smaller black box theatre, the Kerry Luscombe Studio Theatre (KLST) and a dance studio which can also be hired out during the evenings and holidays for classes and meetings.
The Centre is a professionally run venue that offers a comprehensive diary of events including live broadcasts from the National Theatre, Royal Ballet & Opera and other streamed theatrical titles alongside an exciting and innovative programme of shows from TGI College students, local schools and theatre companies.
Our foyer space also contains a fully licensed bar that is available to hire for corporate and private events.
Our mission statement is that the PRCPA aims to be the centre of excellence for the performing arts industry in the Bailiwick. We use theatre to educate, inspire and develop local theatre-makers and students. Performing arts can enrich, motivate and challenge individuals, and our community, to realise their full potential.
